Thai-Chinese deal
The Chinese Vice-Premiei 'Mr Teng Hsiao-ping) ant the Thai Prime Ministei (General Kriangsak Chamanand; have witnessed thi signing of a trade agreement under which Thailand wil buy 600,000 tonnes of crudi oil and 240,000 tonnes a high-speed diesel oil fron China next year. The Cm. iaese, at General Kriangsak’i request, have agreed to sei the oil at a concessional rate on a Government-to Government basis. Thi agreement was the concreti achievement to emerge iron Mr Teng's four-day officia vist, although both he am General Kriangsak agreet the visit had improved al 'ready good relations bl 'tween Peking and Bangkok Bangkok.
