McNeill’s bunch

t Malcolm McNeill and friends will present a jazzoriented evenings at the Adam’s Apple nightclub on Sunday, November 19. The group will go under the title of the Malcolm i McNeill Bunch, and hopes to play mainstream jazz, be-bop, and Duke Ellington material. Rehearsals have been in progress for five weeks, and the emphasis will be on bright, happy, easy music. McNeill has already shown himself to be an

accomplished interpretative vocalist by his handling of Randy Newman’s songs in the “Rooting For Randy” concerts.

The Bunch consists of Stu Buchanan on saxophone, clarinet, and flute, Bob Heinz on guitar, John Densem on keyboards, Kevin Nichol! on bass and guitar, and Ted Meager on drums and percussion. The show will start at 8 p.m. and at $3.50 a ticket, as Malcolm said, is much cheaper than Manhattan Transfer.
