' NZPA-Reuter Moscow The Soviet police have detained an American woman tourist on possible smuggling charges at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, a United States spokesman has said. In a separate case, a i Moscow-based United States ■ businessman, Leo Sonner, has been instructed not to leave the country pending police inquiries into a minor traffic incident, the spokesman said. The woman had been visiting relatives in Tbilisi, Soviet Georgia, and was alleged to have been carrying jewellery given to her in the Soviet Union.
The Soviet Union has demanded the immediate return of the United Nations officials sentenced to 50 years on spying charges in the United States last week.
