Woman’s 'death list'
NZPA-Reuter London The British police seek an American woman employee of the United States Embassv who they believe has aireadv killed one person and compiled a “death list” of 30 others. A Scotland Yard spokesman said that the wanted woman, Alvada_ Ruth Kooken, aged 55. is a senior secretary for the United States Navy at she embassy. The hunt for her began with the death by shooting of a secretary, aged 45, in London’s
fashionable Kensington district. The death list was found at the apartment of the victim. Margaret Philbin. who had been a friend of Miss Kooken. The spokesman said: "We have not found the gun and must assume she still has it. While she has got the gun she is dangerous.” Several persons on 'he list had been put under police guard, said the spokesman. Miss Kooken. born in Kansas Citv. had a history of mental disturbances. he said.
