Croquet starts in Dunedin
PA Dunedin The English sliver and bronze medals croquet competition began yesterday at the Watea. Tamui, Punga and Montecillo lawns under excellent playing conditions. The highlight of the day's play was two splendid breaks made by Rev. Jackson (Auckland), the national champion. In his game against. Mrs N. D. Kennedy he made one break of 15, and then a second break of 14.
Results included:—J. W. McNab (Chch) 26, Mrs W. Duff 4; Mrs T. Thompson (Chch) 26, Mrs F. H. Dickson 15; Mrs R. Faris 26. Mrs E. Hbrwood (Chch) 14; Mrs L. Peters (Chch) 26. Mrs J. Skene 17.
