Two die in collision
Geraldine correspondent A Christchurch man and a woman also believed to be from Christchurch, were killed after a two-car collision near Geraldine about 6 p.m. yesterday. The dead man was Joseph Anima Gillies, aged 31. of 123 Locksley Avenue. Dallington. The woman’s name had not been released early this morning. Five persons were injured in the accident and were taken to Timaru Hospital. They included two
males and a female travelling in the same car as the two who were killed, and two Fairlie shearers in the other vehicle.
