in the venture with Wanganui Trawlers, Ltd, Talleys Fisheries, Ltd, of Motueka,. Nelson Fisheries. Ltd, United Fisheries, of Christchurch, • and Kenton Trawling, Ltd,! of Timaru. The director of trading at R. C. MacDonald, Ltd, Mr B. Harrison, said that the Government had granted a 12month licence for fishing in ; Wanganui, Nelson, Motueka,
Lyttelton, and Timaru, and Japanese expertise would ) assist the venture. Four officials from the ■Japanese company have been lit New Zealand for two weeks inspecting the fishing sites and vessels. Mr Harrison said that the , Japanese company would i work closely with the Japan- , ese Squid Association.
