Vogel House a target, too?
PA Whangarei The Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) reported another possible burglary — this time of the Prime Minister’s residence, Vogel House, in Wellington — last evening. Mr Muldoon said that he had been told of the attempt by his wife. “But the police have got that in hand, and I don’t want to say any more at the moment,” he said. “They won’t get anything
out of there, I tel) you.” Senior-Sergeants on duty at the Wellington and Lower Hutt police stations last evening were not aware of any burglary at Vogel House. A rubbish bin had been moved several days ago, but there had certainly been no burglary, said a policespokesman at Lower Hutt. Vogel House was only about 200 m away from the police station, he said.
