Pamphlets for fire
The executive of the Canterbury Trades Council yesterday agreed to destroy 300 copies of a pamphlet sent to the council by the “Trade Union Committee for the Promotion of Credibility.” The pamphlets contained what was purported to be a National Party election campaign advertisement for television on the subject of industrial relations. The secretary of the Canterbury Trades Council (Mr L. G. More!) said after
the meeting that the exe- i cutive did not want to be- | come involved in a matter ! which they believed to be I of a political nature, ! although they were dis- I gusted about the wording of the script. The pamphlet masquerades as a letter from the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) to an advertising agency. The text comprised “lies and halftruths aimed at promoting , bigotry and hate,” said Mr ! Morel.
