Hit, run car sought
The police seek witnesses to an incident on Friday night when a pedestrian was knocked down by a car in Oxford Terrace outside the Grenadier Tavern. The injured man. Lindsay Sweeney, aged 33. of 64 Purchas Street, St Albans, was reported last evening to be in a serious condition in the intensive-
care unit at the Christchurch Hospital. The incident happened at 11.15 p.m. The police are I looking for a 1970 green i Holden station waggon I which could have damage I to its left front. The vehicle reportedly left rhe scene immediately after the collision. A hospital spokesman ! said Mr Sweeney suffered : injuries to the lower part I of the body.
