The 17 participating teams! ! were from 10 airlines in the region: Air New Zealand, I I Qantas, All Nippon Airways, I Cathay Pacific, M.A.S., Singapore Airlines, Ansett Airi line, Japan Airlines, Alitalia ' and Trans-Australian Air- . lines.
