i A team of 14 Special Air [Service soldiers from Perth [is on its wav to New Zeaj land to attempt to climb the east ridge of Mout Cook. The attempt is in preparation for an Australian assault next year on the 7500 m Gauri Sanker, in the Himalayas.—(P.A.)
