PA Wellington A Maori singer, Isobe] Cowan, has died in Sydney, aged 38. Mrs Cowan, who played the part of Clara jn the New Zealand Opera Company’s production of “Porgy and Bess” in 1965, was born in Hawke’s Bay and began her musical career as one of the “Clive Trio.” The “Porgy and Bess” production, which starred Inia Te Wiata, toured Australia for six months, and the company later made a
