Reporting to staff
Twenty-one entries have been received to date in the New Zealand Chambers of Commerce annual award scheme for the company which produces the most effective report to its employees. Last year, the scheme, “Win Your W'ay to Business Understanding” attracted 14 entries and was won by Winstones, Ltd. Entries close on October 30 and the winner is expected to be announced by the end of November. Judging will be bj’ a panel yet to be named, but which will comprise representatives of
three sectors — employers, unions, and the media. The executive vice-presi-dent of the New Zealand Chambers (Mr Alan R. Simm), said “The production of special annual reports for staff is just one way in which business can, and should, communicate its objectives, philosophies, and results to the people on whom it relies most heavily for survival — its staff. “The response to the scheme has been gratifying in previous years and this year’s response, with an increase in entries, is even more so.”
