Takings set record
Takings from the annual sale of the Canterbury Sheltered Workshop Association on Saturday were more than double those of earlier years, at $2217. The sale was held at the association’s Kilmarnock Street property, and goods offered included handwoven articles, canework, leather bags and purses, and produce. For the first time this year, trainees had the Friday afternoon off and worked on the Saturday afternoon so that visitors could see what they could do.
