NZPA-Reuter London The 51 per cent Stateowned company, British Petroleum, admitted yesterday it had contir.aed to supply oil indirectly to Rhodesia until September 15, this year, despite British and United Nations sanctions. Until now BP had categjiically denied reports published in the “Sunday Times” and the “Observer” newspapers that it had supplied oil to the breakaway British colony. In a statement published ii. the “Sunday Times” yesterday, BP said the agreement had been concluded by its South African affiliate, BP South Africa, without clearance from the British Government.
