This is a new position in which the appointee will be required to establish the Unit and develop management training activities to meet the needs of organising and directing management training in the region. Training includes a very wide range of professions and occupations. Applicants should have a good educational background, preferably to tertiary level, have held responsible senior managerial positions, and have experience in the use of modern management training techniques. In addition, applicants should be capable of working closely with the various branches of Hospital and Health Service staff, have a maturity of judgment, a positive and practical approach to management development, and the enthusiasm to achieve results Previous hospital or health service experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
