Values Party survival

Sir, — The question of whether Values will survive the coming election has been raised again (“Prime Time,” October 18) Is this anothei attempt to destroy the work of those who suggest we get away from the traditional answers to take a refreshingly different approach to our present and future? Values has an approach that puts people before profit; that restores the dignity we lose by being used by money; that encourages us to take control of our own lives at work and in the communities in which we live, in a society based on the planned and co-operative use and reuse of our resources. This approach is seemingly in the wildereness, but is one that can only grow in support as people realise that the tradtional has failed and that real change is needed urgently. — Yours, etc.,

PHIL SAUNDERS. October 19, 1978.
