Flection campaign telegram
s,r > — The statements by A. L. Smith (October • 16) typify the desperate lack of imagination that surrounds the National Party todav. To suggest that telegrams spell bad news is to my mind just too much. The “electrogram” received by the Papanui electorate could not in any way be described as a ■telegram.” This is just stirring for the sake of stirring. What this country needs badly is people with the thinking power and spirit of adventure that goes with this type of unusual advertising. — Yours, etc., „ FRANK HOOPER. October 17, 1978.
