New motor homes
Two new super de-luxe motor homes have just been announced by the Christchurch-based firm of Cresta Craft. One, to be known as the Cresta Craft Auto-Home ATS is at present based or. a Toyota Hi Ace Mk 11 although it will later be available using Ford Transit and Bedford units as well.
The ATS has a moulded GRP elevating roof end accommodation for up to four people in two double beds. The other new motor home is to be known as the AGHT and is based on a Holden one ton cab/chassis fitted with a tandem axle. The engine used is the 202 with a fear-speed floor change
gearbox. The tandem axle is fitted with hydro disc brakes and the tandem extensions are done to Ministry of Transport requirements by Cresta Craft’s own engineering division. Six people can sleep in the AGHT, in a double bed, two singles and two bt'.nks which fold into the roof when not in use.
