LOAN 1978 840,000 NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Ashburton Borough Council held on the IJth day of October, 1978. the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at an ordinary meeting of the Council on Monday. November 20, 1978. at 7 p.m., in the Municipal Chambers, Havelock Street, Ashburton. RESOLUTION: That the Ashburton Borough Council in pursuance and exercise of its powers conferred by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other acts and powers enabling it in that behalf resolves by way of special order as follows:— The purport of the Resolution is: That a special loan of 840,000 to be known as the pensioner flats (Friendship Lane) Block 1. Loan 1978 $40,000 be raised in New Zealand for the purpose of erecting accommodation for aged people. A full copy of this Special Orier is available at the Office of the Ashburton Borough Council, Havelock Street, Ashburton, and is open to the inspection of the public during office hours until the said 20th day of November, 1978. Further Public Notice is given that a pool of ratepayers is required to be taken if 15 per cent of the ratepayers in the Borough of Ashburton so demand in writing under their hand delivered or sent to the undersigned before 9 a.m. on the 20th day of November, 1978, which is the date affixed for the confirmation of the above resolution as a Special Order.
