Changes at 3ZM
Sir, — Congratulations to 3ZM on finally seeing the light and changing back to its proper name, 3ZM. The music, too, over the last few months has been good. But why must the station persist with those cold and mechanical recorded time announcements. It makes the station sound like an impersonal juke-box and frequently the time is incorrect. At night, particularly, why must the journalists read the news? This, coupled with recorded time, makes one wonder if there is really anyone there. I challenge 3ZM to show that night-time radio in Christchurch is alive and thriving. —Yours, etc., C. JAMES. October 15, 1978.
