Floods at Bangkok
NZPA-Reuter Bangkok The floodwaters that have ravaged the north and central areas of Thailand have reached the outskirts of Bangkok, and some villages near the capital are reported to be under water. Widespread relief workcontinued at the week-end in the north and central rice-bowl areas where more than 90 people have been killed and 800,000 acres of rice-fields have been inundated.
