PA Wellington Canterbury and Rongotai shared honours at a volleyball tournament organised by the Wellington club, Canterbury winning the women’s section and Rongotai the men’s. Results. —Men: Section A, Rongotai 1, Canterbury 2; Northcote 3, Victoria (Wellington) 4, Wainui (Wellington district) 5. Section B: Eagles( Wellington) 1, Sparta (Auckland) 2, Nelson 3, Western New Plymouth) 4, Porirua 5. Semi-finals. — Rongotai beat Sparta, 3-12, 15-12, 15-17, 15-1, 17-15; Eagles beat Canterbury, 11-15, 15-10, 15-12, 15-8. Women.—Section B: Western 1 Porirua 2, Victoria 3, Wainui 4, Eagles 5. Section A. —Rongotai 1, Canterbury 2, Dalgety 3, Palmerston North 4. Final.—Canterbury beat Rongotai, 15-8, 15-10.
