;NZPA-Reuter Chestnut Hili' Chris Lewis of New Zealand, was beaten in two sets! by Wojtek Fibak of Poland in the United States professional tennis championships at Chestnut Hill. Massachusetts, on Saturday. Lewis was defeated 4-6, 1-6. The highest surviving seeds in the tournament, Corrado Barazzutti, of Italy, and Manuel Orantes, of iSpain, won through to the: ; quarter-finals.
