Explaining a musical form
Tonight the first in a series of five programmes deals with “the Prelude,” a short but often complex musical form. Tamas Vasary is the pianist and he will be performing the 24 Preludes of Debussy over the series. Each programme will be introduced l?y the con-
ductor and composer, Anthony Hopkins. Mr Hopkins deals simply with his subject and brings a greater understanding of this musical form tp new fans and connoisseurs alike. "Prelude” shows on Television One in the late evening.
