Marketing Officer PORK MARKETING BOARD Up to 512,000 + benefits Wellington Our client, the Pork Marketing Board, is the technical arm of the Pork Industry Council, a statutory body whose prime function is to promote the acceptance and increased consumption of pig meat and to assist producers by acting as their marketing advisors. Additionally the Board operates to bring stability into production, processing and marketing Whilst the major impact of the Board has been within New Zealand, the growth of the Industry has now made significant export development possible. The Marketing Officer is a new position indicative of the Boards involvement in the industry, in reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, he,she will carry out a range of marketing and economic duties including: promotions, public relations, review of existing industry programmes, devise systems for collecting comprehensive data on production, processing and sale, advise on marketing policies and to investigate Export opportunities and the like. Further promotional opportunities exist in the short term.
