Gunmen hit El Al bus
The British police are hunting for two men who took part in an attack on a.i Israeli airline coach in London on Sunday, NZPA reports. Two persons died in the melee outside the Europa Hotel in Grosvenor Square — one an El Al Airlines hostess, and the other an Arab terrorist believed to have been killed by his own grenade. Seven persons w’ere admitted to hospital and six underwent surgery for gunshot and shrapnel wounds. Soon after the attack a Palestinian splinter group
telephoned a Reuter office to claim responsibility for the attack, which It described as a “last warning to all passengers” against the use of the Israeli airline. Within hours, Israel attacked a refugee camp on the outskirts of Beirut. The Palestinian high command in sal I three guerrillas died and 14 were injured in the dawn air raid. The camp is a known stronghold of the Palestinian group with which the London terrorists claimed to be associated. Full story — Page 8
