Doubt over sun panels
Power authorities in Britjain are not confident about [the future of solar water heating, a power board chief engineer says. Mr P. D. Rutledge, chief engineer with the Central [Canterbury Electric Power Board, said that British ; authorities were more inter[ested in tidal and wind ener|gy as viable energy alternatives. Anybody in the board’s district was unlikely to re coup the capital outlay on a solar water heating unit, said the board’s general manager (Mr S. E. Slatter). However, the board was not . putting obstacles in anyI body’s way.
