Men guilty of murder
PA Auckland After a retirement of seven hours and a quarter a jury on Wednesday found two Grey Lynn men guilty of murder. Kauhegatania Fisimatagi, aged 23, and Hego Molesi, aged 28, were both sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Lafaelo laulualo.
Mr Justice Mahon presided in the Supreme Court at Auckland, and the trial was before a jury of nine women and three men. The Crown said the two accused asaulted, kicked and dragged Mr laulualo into an alley in Cargill Road, Newton, and left him there. He died the following day.
