■Ei TOP TEAM 78 r A COMBINED PROJECT BY AVON JAYCEE INC. AND ■ r CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL Calling all Community Groups, Secondary Schools, Sports Chibs, Giris and Boys’ Brigades, Scouts and Guides and Commercial and Industrial Social Clubs, entries are now being received for TOP Team 78 which will take place at CLE.II Park on November 18 and 19. In order to involve as many sectors of the city as we can, we are dividing the TOP TEAM competition into four groups, and each team will consist of 10 persons, 5 Male and 5 Female of which one of each will act as reserves. Five teams will be competing against each other at one time on the same game. Points will be alloted for speed in finishing the course and also for the degree of perfection in doing so. Information on the groups and teams are as follows: GROUP 1. COMMUNITY GROUPS. This group is open to intermediate shools, full primary schools, community centres, service clubs, residents associations etc, etc. and teams will consist of 3 Male adults, 2 Female adults, 3 Male children and 2 Female children. Children to be of Form 1 and 2 age only. This will be held on the morning of Saturday 18 November. GROUP 2. SECONDARY SCHOOLS ETC. This group will include Junior Sports Clubs, Girls and Boys’ Brigades, Scouts, Guides Youth Clubs etc, etc. Single sexed schools or clubs, make your teams with brother or sister shcools or clubs, or members of your family. This group will take part on the afternoon of Saturday 18. GROUP 3. SPORTING CLUBS. Comprising 5 males and 5 females over 16 years of age. This group will take part on Sunday Morning 19 November. GROUP 4. SOCIAL CLUBS. Teams comprising 5 males and 5 females. Sunday afternoon 19 November. Each group will have a first prize valued at $5OO, the second prize at $250 and the third at $lOO. As we are limited to the number of teams we can accommodate, the first 75 teams in each group to reply will be accepted.
