Blind organist to play at Industries Fair
Richard Hore, probably this country’s best known Electronic Organist will give a number of free demonstrations on Farfisa Organs at the New Zealand Industries Fair every day from Saturday, August 19th to Saturday. September 2nd. Totally blind, Richard first captivated New Zealanders with his popular win in TV2’s 1975 “Opportunity Knocks” programme. He has subsequently appeared in Ray Columbus’s “New Faces 1975” programme, “Telethon 1976” and Max Cryer’s “Town Cryer.” He has also featured prominently in various Australian competitions. The hour-long demonstrations will take place daily at 3 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. (Saturdays 3 p.m. only) ,on the Sedley Wells Industries Fair Stand.
