House of Lords at home
The House of Lords (the interior is shown above) is a well-known institution ■but few people have more than a vague idea of how it works. Tonight South Pacific Television presents “The Lords,” a Yorkshire Television documentary produced by Patrick Boyle. When cameras entered the Palace of Westminster to look at the peers themselves and the curious procedures and everyday workings of the Lords, it was the first time for such an event. Answers to such questions as who works there, what they do, who are
they, and what part do they play in British life are revealed in this special feature.
