No pool fencing
The Lyttelton Borough Council will not introduce a i by-law for compulsory fencing around private swimming pools, thus staying in line with other local bodies. A meeting of the council last evening adopted a ' works committee recom,mendation accordingly. : The Institute of Building Inspectors recently remarked on the inconsistency of this kind of compulsory fencing in view of the number of swimming holes and water courses which did not have to be fenced.
