DIC/BEATHS ate going into the separates scene in a big way this season. Their new separates section in their first-floor fashion showroom will have a tempting selection of what overseas fashion designers are calling “compatibles.” Sportswear will be in soft easy separates, unrestricted pieces that are mixed and matched, and layered for a total fashion look. The softness and romance once reserved solely for evening is appearing during the day. particularly in the younger fashions. Dressing has a hint of bravado too, in snappy fun-spirited styles and casual leisure-time gear. Belts will be an important accessory with separates . . .
