' Faced with two charges of possessing cannabis, Kevin Joseph McDonald, told de- [ tectives that it was not his, [that he was “just looking after it for a friend,” the Magistrate’s Court heard [yesterday during the taking [of depositions. Detective Sergeant J. F. Oakley of the drug squad said [that on July 11 detectives searched McDonald’s home in Spreydon where they (found 72.3 kg of packaged cannabis and $5OO in $2O notes. McDonald claimed that the cannabis was not his, and that the money was left over from the sale of a car. Messrs C. A. Pilgrim and E. W. Tippens, Justices of the Peace, found that a prima facie case had been established and committed McDonald to the Supreme Court for trial.
