C. Maister out t for week
Chris Maister, the Canterbury hockey player sent from the field during the representative match against Otago on Sunday, has been suspended for one playing day.
The suspension was imposed by the judicial committee of the Canterbury Hockey Association at a special hearing after the match. Maister will be able to play in the national tournament |at Masterton, which starts on August 27.
Maister, a member of the New Zealand training squad from which a team to tour Pakistan in November will be chosen, was ordered off after arguing with an umpire, Mr Stan Crotty.
