Mr I. G. Douglas has been appointed director-general of The New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation succeeding Mr H. E. J. Martin, who retires on October 3. Mr Douglas is public affairs manager of Ford Motor Company of New Zealand, Ltd, president of the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the executive of the Motor r ehicle Manufacturers’ Association.
