Settlement plan
Israel is planning a 50 per cent increase of the occupied West Bank’s Jewish population to 7500 next year, the Agriculture Minister (Mr Ariel Sharon) has said. He said he would present an expansion plan to the Government soon which would turn the settlements into a security belt running parallel to Israel’s densely populated coastline. — Tel Aviv.
