Precious honoured

NZPA staff correspondent Edmonton New Zealand’s Precious McKenzie, winner of a record four consecutive weight-lifting gold medals at Commonwealth Games, vesterdav earned another honour. He was the first lifter elected an honourary life member of the Commonwealth Weight-lifting Federation. McKenzie and George Newton (Christchurch) were also among four lifters awarded the first honour medals of the federation, for winning at least three golds. Medals also went to Russ Prior (Canada) and Louis Martin (England).
