Ground for pro. rugby
PA Whangarei The Whangarei City Council has given the go-ahead for the Auckland promoter. Mr Russell Clark, to stage a professional rugby match at Okara Park, provided the rental for the ground is paid in advance. The council adopted a recommendation allowing Mr Clark to use the ground on Saturday, October 15, only after an amendment was passed requiring payment irj full of $1250 before the game started in case the event proved financially disastrous.
