Justice Secretary resigns
PA Wellington The Secretary for Justice (Mr G. S. Orr) has resigned to take up a university professorship. Mr Orr, aged 52, and Secretary for Justice since 1974, will take up the chair of jurisprudence and con= stitutional law at Victoria University in February. Announcing the appointment yesterday, the university’s vice-chancellor (Dr D. B. C. Taylor) said that Mr Orr’s appointment followed many years in which he had been heavily involved in university affairs, and continued the healthy inflow to academic life of experienced senior public servants.
