WRITER’S FELLOWSHIP THE VICTORIA UNIVERSITY Of Wellington Writer’s Fellowship for 1979 is open to writers in all areas of literary activity, including drama, fiction and poetry, New Zealand art, biography, history, etc. Applicants should be authors of proven merit normally resident in New Zealand, or New Zealanders currently resident overseas. The Fellow will have the opportunity of writing full-time in an academic environment. There is no formal teaching requirement. The Victoria University of Wellington Writer’s Fellowship is funded jointly on an annual basis by the University and the New Zealand Literary Fund. The appointment will be from February 1, 1979 to January 31, 1980. Closing date: August 31, 1978. Salary: The salary for the fellowship will be $12,174 per annum including cost of living and other allowances.
