Papaya CARRS ROAD RUBBISH PIT CLOSURE THE Paparua County Council Rubbish Pit situated on the corner of Carrs and McTeigues Roads, will be closed to the public from August 1, 1978. From that date, the . Paparua County Council has arranged with the Waimairi County Council to dispose of its household rubbish at the Sawyers Arms Road Pit operated by the Waimairi , County Council and users of the Carrs Road pit are requested to use that pit or ; any other Local Authority refuse pit they may find convenient. NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN NOTICE is hereby given that the North Canterbury Electric Power Board prposes at its meeting to be held on the 22nd day of August, 1978, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Authorities Loans Board for its sanction to the raising of a special loan of $800,060 for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the North Canterbury electric power district. The security for the loan shall be a special rate of such amount each year upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the North Canterbury electric power district as may in that year provide sufficient revenue for the payment of the annual charges in respect of the loan plus 10 per cent thereof, which rate shall continue until the loan is paid off. At current values : the special rate would amount to 0.05903 cents in the dollar upon the capital value of all rateable property in the North Canterbury electric power district. The annual charges to meet the payment of interest and repayment of capital in respect of the said loan will be met out of the Board’s annual revenues. Any person who objects to the proposed application should submit his objection in writing to the North Canterbury Electric Power Board so as to be received at its office at Rangiora not later than 9 a.m. on the day of the said meeting.
