Volleyball side
PA Tauranga, Krissteen Smith, of Christchurch Girl*’ High School, has been named in the New Zealand junior women’* volleyball team to tdur New Caledonia from September 3 to 10. Five Otumoetal College girls were selected following the final trials at the college gymnasium in Tauranga during the weekend.
Mr lan Ranga, the selector coach, considers that thia year’* team is far better than last year’s (which he also coached'
and helped to select) because el its experience. The team Is:— Shelley Addison. Toni Camcaoa Bronwyn Cate (all Otumeetai Col lege); Jo Crawford (Nayland Col lege. Nelson); Dary! Frankllg (Otumoetal College); Janette M« Cormick (Whakatane High). Pai ricla Rackley (Nelson College) Krissteen Smith (Chriatchqrel Giris), Penny Will* (Otumeete College), The reserve is Cathy MeFaS lane (Otumoetal College). The team will assemble in Tail ranga on August 30 for training.
