'Top Team’ for Q.E. II
A “Top Team” promotion of Queen Elizabeth II Park facilities will be held in November by the Avon Jaycees and Christchurch City Council. Family groups, schools, sports clubs, and companies will be encouraged to take part in the games, which will be based on television’s “Top Town”. About 3000 people are expected to be in the competitions on the week-end of November 18 and 19. Free admission to the park’s indoor swimming pools may be included in the admission price.
