Another howls win to Becker
Keith Becker (Riccarton W.M.C.) added to his fine indoor bowls record this season when he won the Trans Tours singles title on Saturday. In the final I Becker beat Maria Austin (Garden City), 12-8. Fifty-nine entered and there were 22 qualifiers. In the final, the scores were tied at 3-3. 4-4 and 5-5 before Mrs Austin held an 8-7 lead with two ends to play.
