A.S.C. plans bid
I The Adelaide Steamship I Company, Ltd, has bought a 142.5 per cent stake in DunI can’s Holdings, Ltd, the Svdney-based timber meri chant, and plans to make a ibid for the rest of the capital. Adelaide Steam bought the 1,087,886 Duncan’s shares held by Australian Paoer Manufacturers, Ltd, at 130 c a share.
The managing-director of Adelaide Steam (Mr K. W. Russell) said his company would comply with listing requirements and offer 130 c a share for the other 47.5 per cent. — PA
