Murder trial jury

A jury was empanelled in the Supreme Court yesterday to hear a charge against a man of murdering his son. However, the trial will not start until this morning. Frederick Alexander Billins, aged 56, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of murdering Stephen Craig Billins, aged 20, on February 8. The Crown alleges that Billins shot his son in the head with a .22 rifle and buried his body in a shallow grave at his home in Breezes Road. Messrs B. McClelland, Q.C., and P. H. B. Hall will appear for Billins. The Crown is represented by Messrs N. W. Williamson, and D. J. L. Saunders. No reason was given in Court for the delay in starting the trial, which is expected to take at least three days and may go into next week.
