Woolston match off again

The Rothmans Soccer League match between Woolston W.M.C. and Mount Wellington has been postponed for a second time. The match was originally set down to be played on June 11 but was called off, as New Zealand met England B at Wellington on that day. The game was then rescheduled for next Sunday,

both teams having been eliminated from the Adidas Challenge Trophy in the third round. However, Mount Wellington, which was beaten, 1-0, by Courier Rangers in the cup game, will get another chance to take the league and cup double this season as the New Zealand Football Association has ordered the match be replayed.

Courier brought on a substitute late in the game, Tony Edmunds, who had already played for Papakura City in an earlier round of the cup and Courier was fined $250 by the N.Z.F.A. It was apparently felt that it was unfair to give Mount Wellington a clear passage through to the fourth round yet it. is difficult to imagine 'that the Courier officials

were unaware that Edmunds was already cup-tied with another club. The game will be played at Newmarket Park tonight and the winner will meet Eastern Suburbs in the next round on Sunday. This means that when Woolston plays North Shore in Auckland on July 16 it will be its first league match for almost a month.
